President Ilves expresses his condolences to Belarus
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves sent a letter of condolence to President Alexander Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus in connection with the explosion in the Minsk Oktyabrskaya metro station, which caused numerous casualties.
“I am shocked by the tragic events in the Minsk metro,” President Toomas Hendrik Ilves wrote in his letter of sympathy.
The Estonian head of state expressed his sincere compassion to the families and friends of the victims in the name of all the Estonian people and wished all those who were injured a quick recovery. “At this difficult time, our thoughts are with the Belarusian people,” President Ilves added.
