President Kaljulaid to Honorary Consuls of Estonia: your tireless work makes Estonia bigger

„You all are true friends of Estonia – you dedicate your time and networks to help Estonians in so manu corners of the world," president Kersti Kaljulaid said today to Honorary Consuls of Estonia gathered in Tallinn. „As a small country, Estonia cannot open an embassy or consulate in every country in the world, but with the help of our 200 honorary consuls in 87 countries, we have a much wider representation globally," President Kaljulaid added.

Estonian Head of State also pointed out that Honorary Consuls are a great help for Estonian businesses to find new partners, establish companies abroad and bring investments to Estonia. "Small countries need to aim big in the globalised world and don´t have time for small things among other things for our economic prosperity and the well-being of our people. In doing this we also need as many friends as possible in every region of the world, in every country, in every port and beyond. Thank you once again for all your hard work in representing Estonia, in being part of Estonia. I hope that your accomplishments are an inspiration to many others who in the future would like to join your ranks," President Kaljulaid said.

Honorary Consuls are visiting Estonia in regarding the conference taking place between June 26–29.
