President Kaljulaid signed powers of authority and recall letters for three diplomatic representatives

Today in Kadriorg, President Kersti Kaljulaid signed powers of authority and recall letters for three diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Estonia, which will be submitted to the heads of states of countries of dispatch by ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary.

With a resolution of the President, Kai Kaarelson was assigned as Ambassador to Georgia and the Republic of Armenia, Jaak Lensment as Ambassador to the Republic of Philippines and Merike Kokajev as Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.

Priit Turk was released from the position of Ambassador to Georgia and the Republic of Armenia, Andres Unga from the position of Ambassador to the Republic of Philippines and Mait Martinson from the position of Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.

According to the Foreign Service Act of the Republic of Estonia, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary is the highest representative of the Republic of Estonia and is a person who has been accredited to a foreign state or an international organisation.
